By utilizing cutting edge technology, established scientific methods, an entrepreneurial work ethic, and strategic alliances, Actis Biologics  scientists have built a diverse research and development pipeline.

Ribozyme platform

This division would undertake development of Angiozyme, a novel platform based on nucleic acid technology.  This product has already been shown to be safe and efficacious in cancer in Phase I/II human clinical trials.

Recombinant protein platform

This division will develop a proprietary technology, a novel technology based on the expression level of certain cells for any protein.  Most recombinant proteins can be produced using this platform technology.  The technology has already demonstrated the ability to increase protein production several fold over levels currently produced in bioreactors.

Gene therapy platform

This division is developing next generation therapies using a novel vector technology (tame virus) for delivery of a predetermined genetic sequence, i.e. a gene, into a cell.  Most diseases are a result of the malfunction of genes, which produce certain proteins.  The body in general is in a state of harmony with various proteins, enzymes and chemicals.  When this state is disturbed, it results in the formation of a particular disease.  Hence, to correct this problem, currently various proteins or enzymes or chemicals are injected into the body.  However, if the genes for these proteins are corrected through gene therapy, we expect the natural body state to be maintained and the problem resolved.  This approach has been tested in small animals and shown to be effective in ameliorating disease.

Vaccines platform

This division is developing a therapeutic vaccine for HIV using a technology platform. This will be further developed to focus on hepatitis, flu among other indications.
