Job Description:

ABPL R&D requires a competent instrumentation engineer to ensure operation of equipments with minimal down-time for efficient functioning of the unit. This position reports to Head-R&D. The Instrumentation engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise in the area of instrumentation and provide engineering support to R&D.


Job Purpose:

 

Responsible for all Instrumentation at Actis Biologics Pvt. Ltd & reports to Head-R&D.

 

Duties:

 

  • Carries out routine maintenance of all equipments in R&D and associated facilities.
  • Performs routine calibration and maintains records of all equipment functions and repairs as per GLP norms.
  • Develop and improve upon preventing maintenance plan on a regular basis.
  • Identify and resolve the recurring downtime or ineffecient operational issues.
  • Cordinates with all the team leaders & Scientists in R&D & ensures near-zero down time of equipments.
  • Develop & maintain strong internal & external working relationships with R&D team members, & vendors.
  • Evaluate cost saving opportunities and improvement for equipment to increase longevity & relaibility.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

  • BE or B.Tech in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Prior experience in similar function in Pharma/Biotech company for 3-4 years.
  • Experience in routine calibration, validation & maintenance of equipment in an R&D organization.
  • Hand-on experience of operation & maintenance of equipments such as Centrifuges, Fermentors, Microscopes, Digital Imaging systems, Plate readers, Bio-safety cabinets, Water purification systems etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical & mechanical systems.
  • You must have ability to troubleshoot & develop preventive plans.
